Mużika Mod Ieħor is a series of podcasts by Toni Sant featuring music from performers in or from Malta. It has been running regularly on a weekly basis since Saturday 19 November 2005.

Each podcast normally features a varied selection of four or five tracks. From time to time there are also special editions featuring either fewer tracks or tracks clustered around a very specific theme.

In the first few editions, the voice of the American comedian George Carlin could be heard ranting about people's tastes in music and the dire situation of radio airplay in the context of MP3 players and file sharing. This was temporarily replace by Robert J. Safuto's Pop Culture Rant #43 from Podcast NYC between MMI0016 and MMI0044. After one full year of podcasts in the series in MMI0045 in November 2006, the current intro style was established, with occasional variations on some of the special editions.

The 100th edition was released on Saturday 2 February 2008, around the same time the series was featured in an article by Michael Bugeja in the Sunday Times of Malta.[1]

Between October 2009 and November 2010 the series was sponsored by Vodafone.

Listeners' Picks Poll

During the final quarter of every year since 2006, Toni Sant has organized the MMI Listeners' Picks poll.

Voting takes place during the last 4-6 weeks of the year via Facebook.

The top selections from podcast listeners for each year are announced during the first podcast of the following year.

Airplay

Central FM, a Maltese community radio station broadcasting from Attard, started airing the weekly MMI podcast in January 2007. Central FM renounced its FM frequency in January 2008 and continued a live webcast for a few months until the who project fizzled out.

Starting on Saturday 16 February 2008, the weekly Mużika Mod Ieħor podcast was also be aired on SydneyOne Radio every Saturday at 4pm, Sydney time. SydneyOne Radio did not have a website at this time. It is not known how long the rebroadcasting of the MMI podcast lasted on this radio station.
