Mandala Malta was one of Malta's earliest world music fusion bands.

They formed in March 2003 to play the annual BJ's Music Marathon. For most of the audience, it was the first time they'd heard live ethnic ambient music and their feedback was so encouraging, that the band stuck together and developed their unique sound. That winter, they got busy at the Mandala Studios under the watchful eye of record producer Dave Goodman and in the spring, they gave birth to their album Music From A Lighthouse.

The band played at the 2004 Glastonbury festival and made quite an impact with their psychedelic ambient rap music.

After this they were reported to be working on a new album but Goodman died on 10 February 2005 after suffering a heart attack at his home in Malta and the album was never completed or released.

Line up: Monique Unique - keyboards, percussion, vocals. Fish (Stephan Dimech) - drums, dulcimer & rapping. Kathy Manuell - percussion, vibes & singing. Dave Goodman (Dalaman) - bass, guitar, sitar and flute.
