The 28th edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu was held on Saturday 17 May 2003 at the University of Malta's Sir Temi Zammit Hall at Tal-Qroqq in Msida.

The Incanto Choir from the Parish Church of Sta Luċija sang a medley of three songs by Joe Friggieri It-Tfajla tal-Irdum, Il-pont ta’ Wied Rummiena and Il-Festa all composed by Mro Charles Camilleri and originally sung by Mary Rose Mallia. Then the choir sang 3 Alfred C. Sant songs: L-Għannej and L-Ewwel Tfajla li Ħabbejt composed by Ray Agius, and L-Aħħar Bidwi f’Wied il-Għasel composed by Mro Paul Abela and originally sung by Tony Camilleri, The Malta Bums and New Cuorey respectively.
