L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2000
The 25th edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu was held on 29 April 2000 at the University of Malta, Sir Temi Zammit Hall in Tal-Qroqq.
The show, compered by Carmen Tanti and Joe Tanti, was broadcast live on TVM

Prizes
The prizes for the Festival are:- First Place:- Trophy and Lm300 Second Place:- Trophy and Lm200 Third Place:- Trophy and Lm100
As usual, L-Għanja tal-Poplu trophy was to be detained for a year by the author / composer of the winning song. Other awards were awarded for the best social theme, best interpretation, best singer/songwriter and best musical arrangement.
Tickets at €10 were available from the Y.T.C. 227 Merchants' Street, Valletta. All profits from tickets and sponsors at the contest were donated to the Eden Foundation lead by Dr Josie Muscat.
The jury was observed by Notary Dr.Sarah Pulis B.A. LL.D.
