The interval act as people awaited the final results was offered entertainment by the Choir Incanto and dance by Keith & Adonelle, and Funkstar.
Recognition
The committee has always been proud to recognise the talent of local artists and therefore, L-Għanja li Tibqa' awards were given to lyricists Joe Friggieri and Alfred C. Sant. The Incanto Choir from the Parish Church of Santa Luċia sang a medley of three songs by Joe Friggieri It-Tfajla tal-Irdum, Il-pont ta’ Wied Rummiena and Il-Festa all composed by Mro Charles Camilleri and originally sung by Mary Rose Mallia. Then the choir sang 3 Alfred C. Sant songs: L-Għannej and L-Ewwel Tfajla li Ħabbejt composed by Ray Agius, and L-Aħħar Bidwi f’Wied il-Għasel composed by Mro Paul Abela and originally sung by Tony Camilleri, The Malta Bums and New Cuorey respectively.
