L-Għanja tal-Poplu 1997

The 22nd Edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu was held on Saturday 26 April, 1997 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

144 original songs were submitted and shortlisted to 16 songs for the final night.

A cd with the finalists and a programme with the lyrics were published.

The show, hosted by Romina Bonaci and Karl Bonaci was transmitted on TVM.

L-Għanja tal-Poplu trophy is detained for a year by the author/composer of the winning song.

KTA Production offered a prize of one week in Rome for two persons.
