Launching of the festival

L-Għanja tal-Poplu (2023) 47 Edition. A strong partecipation for the 47th edition of The People's Anthem. The 47th edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu – a festival of songs in Maltese, will be held at Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta on Saturday 30th July 2023 with the participation of the Malta Concert Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Paul Abela. Submissions for this festival can be sent online from Friday 25 February till Friday18 March 2022 and the finalists will be announced by the 24th April. Authors, composers, music bands, singers and singer-songwriters are invited to participate in this popular festival with songs addressed to the Maltese public.
