L-Għanja tal-Poplu is a quasi-annual festival of original songs in Maltese.

This song contest of Maltese pop and contemporary folk has been organized by the Youth Travel Circle (YTC) since 1973.

Dates and venues

  • The 35th edition was held on Saturday 4 December 2010 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Phoenicia in Floriana.
  • The 36th edition of the festival took place on Saturday 21 April 2012 at the University of Malta's Sir Temi Zammit Hall in Msida.
  • The 37th edition will take place on 20 April 2013 at the University of Malta's Sir Temi Zammit Hall in Msida.
  • The 38th edition will take place on 15 March 2014 at the University of Malta's Sir Temi Zammit Hall in Msida.
