This was the Thirteened Edition of the Festival Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2004 Since the festival begain again in 1997. This Year was the 40th Anniversary since Malta got the Independence in 1964. And for the second time the was not held at Floriana The Granaries, because during that week of celebration in September, made a lot of rain and win and most of the activities where all cancelled.

This Festival was held later on, and was showed direct on Net TV from the Sir Temi Zammit Hall at Tal-Qroqq l-Imsida.

Priminary Jury

The organisers under the chair person [ ? ] announced the 20 entries which qualified for the next round to be held in the final on [ Date  ? ] Dicember 2004. at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall at Tal-Qroqq l-Imsida.

Final Jury

The submitted entries were judged by the following panel of music experts:

Pawlu Testa was the chairman of the Jury, the other members where Patrick Mallia, David Azzopardi, Martin Vella, Rennie Vella and Vince Fabri while the UKAM rappresentative was Felix Camilleri.

Festival Comperes

The Presenters of this editon of Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza where the comedy duo Owen Bonnici and Daniel Chricop. The Trophies was presented by the General Secretary of The Nationalist Party Joe Saliba in the presence of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Hose Micallef.

Prize

The prizes where for Televoting, For Third Place, Lm 200 and trophy for singer, Author and Composer, For Second Place, Lm 350 and trophy for singer, Author and Composer, For First Place, Lm 500 and trophy for singer, Author and Composer.
