Malta at Junior Eurovision 2010 was the television show by which Malta selected its entry to the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest held in Minsk in Belarus on 20 November 2010.

This was Malta's eight entry to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The Event

The eight Edition of the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Was held on 4 September, 2010 At the Auditorium of St Paul’s Missionary College in Rabat, Malta.

The Contest

After a 20-strong final from the Auditorium of St Paul’s Missionary College in Rabat, Malta, Nicole Azzopardi emerged as the winner with the song“Knock Knock… Boom Boom!”, Maria Desira & Justine Delmar finshed second with “Love to share” and Ylenia Vella third with the song”Shout It Out”

The winners trophy was handed to Nicole by PBS chairman Mr. Joseph Mizzi.

The voting process was supervised by Dr. Joseph Refalo, Notary Roland Wadge, Auditor Jonathan Desira, and members of the Eurosong Advisory Team

For The Finals

Nicole Azzopardi, an upcoming figure within the local music industry was the last artist to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with her entry Knock Knock!… Boom! Boom! finishing in thirteenth (13th) place with just thirty-five (35) points. The announcement was a complete surprise considering that Malta has never resorted to an internal selection beforehand despite having been suggested by several individuals over the years.


Her vocal teacher is Glen Vella, who participated in Malta’s Eurovision national finals in the past years, both times placing in the top three.
