Shaian Debono

Shaian Debono was born on the 17 May 2002. She lives in St.Venera. She is a Singer and Actress.

Now, she has ended her 11th year in Our lady Immaculate School and is aiming to continue study German at Junior Collage. Her dream job is a German teacher. She has been singing since 2012 under the guidance of her vocal coach is ‘Kaya’ Priscilla Giordano Psaila. Through out the years she has participated in many local and international festivals.

In 2015 she participated in Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, KKI - Junior 2015 with the song L-Arpa tal-Ħolm written by Emil Calleja Bayliss and composed by ‘Kaya’ Priscilla Giordano Psaila. Apart from that she took part in other local programs such as The Entertainers Singing Challenge 2015 and The Entertainers Singing Challenge 2016, and recently she was one of finalists of the program Don’t Stop Me Now - 2017 preseted by Christine Haber.

In 2015 she also went to Italy for the festival Il Cantagiro after passing an audition in Malta.

In this festival she won 1st Place. And in 2017 she also went to Slovenia taken part in the 4 th Edition of Bled Golden Microphone, where she sang Per Te and Because We Believe, and she was given the title Best Foreign Singer 2017.

Since 2014 she has been participating in the Singer Stage Malta International Festival where there was a year where she placed 3rd and in 2017, she was given the title Best Technique and got invited to participated in a festival in Rimini, Italy.

On March 2018 she won the title Singer of the year 2017 of the festival Shine Singers Festival. At the moment she gave it a try for the X Factor and Shaian is really excited about it.

Shaian is also one the 10 singers that are competing in the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2018 (KKI Talent Ġdid) category with the song Pupa Bla Sieq written by Rita Pace and composed by ‘Kaya’ Priscilla Giordano Psaila.

Apart from german she is aiming to study music at an intermidiate level at Junior College and also she wants to start studying the piano.

On the other hand Shaian also goes to drama lessons by Mixta Drama by Clayton Pace and from October 2018 she will be taking part of the series It’s Morris directed by the well-Known Eileen Montesin.
