He also showed interest in taking music lessons. At sixteen years of age, Dominic began studying the Alto Saxophone. When he was 18, he wrote his first song ''Teżor Mitluf''. [[Maria Mallia]] took part with this song in [[Kanżunetta żgħażagħ]].


At sixteen Dominic was also tempted to start playing musical instrument and began playing the Alto Saxophone and also started giving exams this instrument. Of eighteen composed a song in the first festival [[Kanżunetta żgħażagħ]] which had the song 'Teżor Mitluf' for singer [[Maria Mallia]].

Time passed and Dominic, other remaining composing songs for him, also continued to write songs for other singers like one of the songs that remained popular, Wellidni, which was interpreted by his own wife [[Ina Robinich]] was the winning song festival in [[L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2004]],Other song played on the radio yet Maltese is the excerpt 'Future in [[Konkors kanżunetta Indipendenża 2009]] classified in third place and sung by [[Fabrizio Faniello]]. Dominic not only composed  good songs but has also composed a music of some local films like [['Scrooge']] in Maltese and [['Ċellinu]] also a Maltese production. Nowadays Dominic works at [['Freetime Productions']] as Music Producer.
In [[Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendeza 2013]], Dominic placed first, second and third as a composer. He won with ''Aħfiri Jekk Trid'' with lyrics by Rita Pace and sang by [[Fabrizio Faniello]] gaining 89 points. He placed second with ''Hemm Miegħek Jien'', lyrics by  [[Rita Pace]] too and sang by [[Neville Refalo]] with 85 points and placed third with ''Ħallini Ngħidlek'', lyrics by [[Stephen Baldacchino]] and sang by [[Nicole  Brincat]] with 84 points.

In October 2014, for the first time in his career, Dominic reached the semi-finals of the local selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. He took part in the [[Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015]] with the ''Once In A While'' written by Rita Pace and composed by Elton Zarb. On the 21 November 2014, he even made it to the Final held at the [[Marsa Shipbuilding]]. The final took place a day after, on Saturday 22 November 2014 and Dominic placed twelfth with 11 points.
 
On 2 September, 2017 Kapitlu Tlettax with [[Ina Robinich]] and [[Dominic Cini]] taken part in [[L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2017]] with the song ‘Angtifona ta’ Mħabba’  lyrics by [[Joseph Calleja]] and music by [[Edward Magri]].


Beside that Dominic is a good make-up artist and his serves in weddings, fashion shows, plays and other producation, beside his realy job as a music producer.
On Saturday 7 August, 2021 Dominic Cini with Anna Azzopardi as a duet performed the song '''Se Nirranġaw''' lyrics  and music by Mark Laurence Zammit, this song win the title of Best Social Theame.

Dominic Cini

Dominic Cini known as Minik (born 9 April 1982) has been on the music scene since the age of six when he started taking lessons and singing and taking part in local singers' festivals.

He also showed interest in taking music lessons. At sixteen years of age, Dominic began studying the Alto Saxophone. When he was 18, he wrote his first song Teżor Mitluf. Maria Mallia took part with this song in Kanżunetta żgħażagħ.
