Jasmar Cassar was born at St Luke’s Hospital in Pieta on the 14 of October 1998. And lives in Marsa. He is a Singer, Songwriter and a Video Producer.
Jasmar's musical story as a Solo Artist started when he was seven years old. Singing his way into Vocal Competitions and Performances.
In 2008 and 2010, Jasmar competed in Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Id-Dinja Tiegħi - 2008 (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008) and with My Star in (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010). In 2013 he competed in 2 Italian Festivals; Sanremo Doc. where he won 2nd place & the Pop Music Festival. In 2013 Jasmar also competed in KKI 2013 with the song Mużika.
In 2014 Jasmar competed In An Italian Festival Il-Cantagiro with his song Ti Amo, I Love You (Written by Muxu Matt Mercieca, Jasmar Cassar & Elton Zarb) - which became the winner in the Singer/Songwriter Category.
Earlier this year Jasmar competed with an original song Qalbien in a Maltese Festival with the group L-Ilħna , organised by the Erseb Productions. The Group Won; 1st Place, Best Presentation & Overall Winner.
Jasmar Cassar released his First Official Single Just Be on September 2nd, 2015. Just Be is Composed by Jasmar Cassar and Written by Matt “Muxu” Mercieca. The Music Video is also Directed By Jasmar Cassar. Just Be Achieved Major Spotlights & Headlines on the news and over 19,000 Views on Youtube in Only 6 Days!
Just Be is Available in All Major Music Stores. In September 2015, Jasmar Cassar became the First Maltese Artist to be on "DM Radio”.
Even Though Jasmar Competed in Several Prestigious Local & International Festivals, Just Be is His Biggest Achievement To Date!
On 26 April, 2016 was annouced the 40 songs in the Preliminary Eliminatoy Round of the L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2016 - Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija and he got a song with her sister Shyli Cassar 'Tama' lyrics by Shyli, and Jasmar Cassar and Kapitlu Tlettax and composed by Dj Mac David Leguesse. On 8 May, 2016 the same song passed form the Second Phase of the Festival, and passed with the 18 Finalist.
On Thursday 7 July, 2016 Shyli with her brother Jasmar and Kapitlu Tlettax where in ths Semi-Finali of the 40th Edition of the L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2016 - Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija with the song 'Tama'.
Jasmar is now working on Music not only as a Vocalist but also as a Video Producer, Performer and a Songwriter!
