Dorcas Debono

Dorcas Debono (born 15 January 1993) is a singer from Mġarr, Malta.

She started her singing career at the age of 13 and took part in various local song contests.

In 2008 she had her first experience in a festival on a national level. She sang “Stilla” in the semi-finals of Konkors Kanżunetta Indipendenża Talent Ġdid.

Then she decided to commit herself more seriously and study to reach a higher level.

In 2011, Dorcas won the Ilwien Mużikali with her original song Mhux Tassew. She also took part in Passport To Indifest during TV programme Sas-Sitta.

In December 2012, she took part in a contest in Bucharest, Romania and finished third.

On the 9 November 2013 Dorcas took part in the Festival Internazzjonali tal-Kanzunetta Maltija 2013 and finished fourth with the song Din Jien music by Dominic Cini 'Minik' and lyrics by Rita Pace. Dorcas also won the WAFA Award.

On the 17 September 2015 she took part in the Final of Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2015 with the song Ma Ninsa Qatt written by Rita Pace and composed by Dominic Cini ‘Minik’ and placed second.
