Harriet Cohen born in Żabbar, Malta on 20 June 1990 is the name adopted by Bletchley Park singer Deborah Borg Brincat for her 2012 solo project.

Harriet Cohen is a solo project launched in 2012 that marries the pianistic, vocal and song-writing abilities of Bletchley Park lead singer Deborah Borg Brincat. Inspired by Regina Spektor, Marina and the Diamonds, and Agnes Obel, the style has been described as enigmatic retro pop.

Her debut self-penned song is called India was released in June 2012 and features Simon Vella on violin. The song was recorded, produced and mixed by Peter Borg at Railway Studios, with a promotional video directed and produced by Matthew James Borg.

India was named Best Single Release for 2012 in well-renowned music critic Michael Bugeja’s article This is the End of it All published Sunday December 30, 2012 on The Sunday Times of Malta. The positive feedback received has encouraged the creation of more original material within this style.

Harriet Cohen is currently working with producer Niki Gravino at Foreface Studio on a number of songs with the aim of releasing an EP later in the year; and strengthening live performances through a string of intimate live gigs. 2
