Karma Skies is an acoustic all-girl band from Malta active since 2012.

The band is made up of four singers (Annalise Bellizzi, Odelsie Camilleri, Loredana Grech, Michela Scerri), a guitarist (Sheryl Camilleri) and a pianist (Caroline Caruana).

Beginnings

Formed in December 2011, the band's first performance was during St. Aloysius' Soiree 2012, which soon led to more live appearances during the year. The six continued to bond over the next few months working on various covers and even a couple of originals.

They soon realized that did not only have one lead vocalist but four vocalists with two musicians. After a number of performances, they started working on a cover version of Fun’s Some Nights at Blacklights Studios and also ended up shooting their first music video with Stephan Zammit from Neuronfx while studying for their ’A’ levels.

The positive feedback they received their first music video encouraged them work harder, playing some more gigs appearing on Clint on One, where they performed three songs. They also work with Kevin Paul Calleja at Railway Studios on another song from Fun, this time We Are Young, which is yet to be released.

Bittersweet September

Their debut single, Bittersweet September, was released on 17 September 2013 along with a promotional video. The song was recorded and produced by Peter Borg at Railway Studios. The music video was directed by Stephan Zammit. All this was under the guidance of stylist Kira Drury.

Bittersweet September was featured as the opening track on Toni Sant's 351st Mużika Mod Ieħor podcast on Saturday 28 September 2013, one week after it was made available for download on iTunes.
