Jason Owen Vella was born at Paola on 22 August, 1977. Former footballer and singer.
After football, his singing career begain at 23 years when he unfortunalty had to stop playing football after he gort a serious injury that left hin for two weeks in bed and six months walk with crutches
He played with many teams , first with his home town club of Hibernians FC to 18 years where hin win all the honors from U / 12 to U/ 18 with the Hibs Għajn Dwieli Nursery, and with a pround he lead his team mates wearing the band of Captain. At 18 years as a reserve also played some matches in Premier Division. When he reached 19 years old although he try to take his place in the first team , he find it a little difficult to be moremore regular and since those times would be added with large since comany not yet entered the mentality of today's products nurserires using the club decided to be transfer with some clubs that were interested in him and he remember that he went to Gudja Utd in Second Division.
Who is there after always looked forward and always played with clubs who win promotion plans like Siġġiewi from 3rd to 1st Div promotions . Xgħajra Tornadoes from Third Division to First Division to Premier and Qrendi FC from Third Division to Second Division.
He could say that with every team he played he win houors. When he was Playing in Premier Division at 23 years old, at his top, he surfer that injuy and he must stop from his love game.
When he was a child he was always with a choir singing in a church or school activities that he attend, but football was the first priority and could not managed with the two of them in the same time.
But life close a door, and in the same time open orders. After he could’nt player anymore football, he decided to concretact on singing , he started studying with Phylissiane Brincat to-opening road and later under Brian Cefai. In one of the Festivals he meet with the manager singers of that time Massimo Ellul was as a hudge in a Festival, Jason added his wished to work with him after he jury in that Festival and you never looked back saying that and I continued to run until today.
He remember, that the first time view on tv as a singer was a program named ‘Talenti Godda’ presented by David Azzopardi, later after he was a host singer on One TV program ‘Summer Break’ and he would be invited to officiate in certain program true his Manager he begai to sing in several good hotels too. And from there he gane confidence and boost him up, and till today Jason appreiected that time till today.
Once among others in a particular hotel , there was Charles ‘Baby Face’ Curmi alate promoter for the Maltese singers inside Australia for his holiday, where he head him singing, and offered him to go singing for the Maltese emigrants undoubtedly get this opportunita. It was a great Experrance overwhelming when to sing for the Maltese emigrants inside the great Awstralia.
In Theatre true Phyillisenne Brincat Jason was succeeded sing in two operettas in Manoel Theatre with Valletta Dramatic Company Il Paese Del Campanelli and La Principessa Del Azzarda.
But the most wonderful experience he got true over his life was in 2009 when most of his friends in music scene Paul Gordimaina and Bayzo encougrad him to make auditions for Ġensna where thanks for Mro. Paul Abela and Ray Mahoney gave him the part of Knight . Singing abroad hed got the opportunity to do giggs inside Tunes, Turkey, England, Italy, Germany and Australia.
By the true very good friends anls also with his will, Jason keep going in his singing way, and he encaouged youngsters to taking their singing career seriously and keep studying and takes top opportunities come infront of them.
He must thank to Phyillisenne Brincat for was always she will be there for him and undoubtedly his second father Bayzo and Paul Gordimania for their good advice they give him.
