Grecia Bezzina

Grecia Bezzina was born on the 27th September of 1992 and hails from St Venera.

From an early age she showed initiative and participated in a number of school activities but it was only when she was eight years old that she decided to take up singing seriously began attending lessons under the direction of Doreen Galea.

From there on, Grecia started taking part in various musicals whilst also participated in various singing festivals in which she always achieved fulfilling results. In 2005 Grecia participated alongside her brother Dario in L-Għanja tal-Poplu Żagħżagħ with the song Il-Ħabib ta' l-iskola, the following year she made it through the finals with the song Fil-Qalba Tar-Raħal and in 2007 with Familja Dot Kom.

Grecia alongside her brother Dario were in the semi-final of the Malta Eurosong Festival back in 2009 with the song Fjamma tas-Sliem which was penned and composed by Philip Vella. In September of that same year, Grecia and Dario made the finals of Konkors Kanżunetta Indipendenża with the song Nagħmlu Deal composed by Ray Aguis to the lyrics of Godwin Sant. Grecia was also a finalist in the Malta Hit Song Contest 2010 with the song Save Me written by Rita Pace and to the music of Elton Zarb.

After focusing more on her studies, Grecia returned in 2012 at the Malta Eurovision; where she was a backing vocalist for Annalise Ellul and Francesca Borg. This year Grecia achieved another feat in her young career as she made it to the finals of L-Għanja tal-Poplu' with the song Tal-Komma Twila which is penned by Emil Calleja Bayliss and composed by her brother Dario Bezzina.
