Back in Malta he featured with the most renowned folksingers of the Seventies, including Żeppi Meli ta' Sika, Żaren Mifsud ta' Vestru, Pawlu Seychell Il-Għannej and Ninu Galea l-Kalora.

There are several keen għana followers who declare that Mifsud was their favourite folksinger of all. He passed away in 2001.
