Know as a newscaster, journalist and TV Presenter. And built on a tradition of quality broadcasting, the station has collaboration agreements with a number of entities, such as the [[BBC World Service]] and [[Classic FM]] in the UK, [[United Nations Radio]], [[Deutsche Welle]], [[Radio Netherlands]] and [[Putumayo World Music]]. Also, students, lecturers and staff at University are involved in the radio’s operations and are contributing towards various productions and initiatives. Campus FM has been the recipient of a number of broadcasting awards since 1995.
She is the daughter of Maltese actor [[Tony Cassar Darien]].


Between the year 2000 and 2004 she was studing in the [[Univeristy Broadcasting]] on [[Campus FM]], which forms part of the [[Malta University Broadcasting]], is the University of Malta’s radio station, broadcasting educational programmes of a formal and informal nature.

[[Campus FM]] transmits twenty-four hours a day on the analog frequency 103.7 FM, as well as on the latest digital radio transmission technology, DAB+. [[CampusFM]] is available on the internet through a collaboration with University IT Services.
She graduated with a B. Communications (Hons), in Communication and Media Studies, from the University of Malta. She received a distinction for her thesis entitled 'Ethnographic Study in Media Consumption Patterns'.  


On September 2005 begain working with [[PBS Newsroom]], and between August 2009 – August 2010  she was in Washington D.C. Metro Area Development Courses and Training in Media and Communication Studies.
In September 2005 she started working in the [[PBS]] newsroom.


She was form part to the TVAM team, presenting a daily news program broadcast on TVM, one of the national TV stations operated by [[Public Broadcasting Services]] in Malta. Co presented with [[Joe Mifsud]] and [[Pierre Portelli]], the program is broadcast between 6.30 and 09.00. [[TVAM]] covers local and international news, provides analysis and offers insights and perspectives into ongoing current affairs.

Daphne Cassar (born 26 September 1977) is a Maltese newscaster, journalist and TV presenter.

She is the daughter of Maltese actor Tony Cassar Darien.

Early career

Between the 2000 and 2004 she was involved in the univeristy broadcasting through Campus FM, the University of Malta’s radio station.

She graduated with a B. Communications (Hons), in Communication and Media Studies, from the University of Malta. She received a distinction for her thesis entitled 'Ethnographic Study in Media Consumption Patterns'.
