Peter Paul Caintar born on 26 June, 1950 at Ħaż-Żebbuġ but stand at Rabat, Malta. He is a broadcaster, composer / musician and music teacher and lecturer Maltese.

Peter Paul Ciantar A.Mus.LCM, was the son of Carmelo and Maria nee’ Barbara. He is married to Pauline neé Muscat and is a father of two children: Gabriella (born in 1979) and Robert (born in 1982).

At 20 years earned a diploma in music (A.Mus.LCM) from the Royal College of Music in London.

He began his career in children's programs by broadcasting Rediffusion (Malta). Having entered with the National Broadcasting employee in the office of a producer. In-ħidma, he presented several radio programs focused mainly on the history of Malta, serious music, opera and folklore. It is well known for presenting musical program Siesta which lasted many years direct broadcast daily on the former radio station conch. For many years, Peter Paul Ciantar was coordinator of radio programs with PBS (Public Broadcasting Station ). He attended several courses run by some from the most well-known broadcasters in the world.

Besides broadcaster, Ciantar was for several years a music teacher, lecturer , as well as secretary and PRO of various committees, particularly in the cultural field. It was also a journalist with the local newspaper Time of Malta, as well as a member of jury panels during local and foreign festivals.

As a composer he wrote numerous marches for band King’s Own Band of the Valletta, as well as other villages bands. Many of his festive marches were recorded on several LPs and CDs.He also composed a quite a number of Sigl for some of its programs on radio and won several competitions for serious music organized by the Performing Rights Society of London.

Peter Paul Ciantar sound the Bb baritone, the synthesizer and mandarins . He is currently presenting a musical program on radio on Radio Malta, He is a member of the National Festivities Committee, and writer of several articles, mainly on cultural and musical subjects and those most be published on local newspapers.
