Malta Junior Song For Europe 2007

In all 63 songs had been initially submitted for the contest. These were heard on a demo CD on Friday 24th August 207 and live on Saturday 25th August, 2007, by a jury comprising of four adults and four teenagers between the ages of 13 and 15. The jury then choose the 16 finalists who battled it out during the Junior Song for Europe Festival on Friday.

The show was hosted by Sean Vella and Christine Haber and Sophie Debattista, who won last year’s edition of the Junior Malta Song for Europe was the interval act. Results were based on a mixture of judges and televoting. However, at the end of the show no points were announced and only the top 3 places were revealed. The awared number of Points to each song came about as a result of a mixture of televoting and judges votes. The all-girl band Cute won first place at the Junior Malta Song for Europe 2007 held on Friday at the 'Sir Temi Zammit Hall' at Tal-Qroqq. The 5 girls will represent Malta in Rotterdam for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 that will be held on the 8th December.

Cute comprises five teenage female vocalists, who have all attended the Annalise School of Dancing, in Malta; where they learnt choreography. The group are also members of the Angelic Voices Choir.

There are Salaia Gerada, Trisha Smith, Celaine Borg, Marzia Farrugia and Paulanne Farrugia Cute performed their song entitled "Music" which was written and composed by themselves. Danica Muscat with her song “Stolen” placed second with 80 points, and followed in third place by Kidz Mania wth 72 points by and the song “New Generation”.
