We're considering a Friday/Saturday evening venue for a small gig / social event.  The best idea/opportunity floated so far is for an evening in Rabat/Mdina in collaboration with the [[National Archives]] (and the [[National Memory Project]]), particularly aimed at bringing in different/under-represented genre/s (i.e. crowd/s) to the M3P. Mario Frendo has agreed to help with this, if necessary. Tony Grimaud is leading on this.

Agenda items for discussion

Evening events

We're considering a Friday/Saturday evening venue for a small gig / social event. The best idea/opportunity floated so far is for an evening in Rabat/Mdina in collaboration with the National Archives (and the National Memory Project), particularly aimed at bringing in different/under-represented genre/s (i.e. crowd/s) to the M3P. Mario Frendo has agreed to help with this, if necessary. Toni Sant is also planning to discuss possibilities with Dominic Galea. Tony Grimaud will be leading on this aspect of the conference programme.

A Friday/Saturday evening gig/social event on the other day is also being considered in collaboration with Reciprocal Records and/or Hairy Amp, for whichever other day during the conference with the aim of having an evening gathering each night of the conference. Michael Bugeja is leading on this.

Types of sessions

Papers/Posters

These will be both directly and indirectly related to M3P. Possible themes include: - Technical issues - Usability issues - Research topics (archiving/music etc.) - Music archives in context - Digital archiving (too broad?)

Interim events

Old-timers' series: working title M3P Jiltaqa' Ma'...

- This is being coordinated by Tony Grimaud (inc. idea for possible radio programme? + MAF video shoots)

- Target date April 2011?

Networking Workshop/s

- The May/June conference must include networking workshop/s similar to the one we had at the St James Cavalier Studio during the launch. This sort of thing is essential for all major M3P events.

- We should also consider specific workshops, such as one for events submissions with specific stakeholders like Lito.

Archiving Workshop/s

These should also be considered in relation to pending JISC e-Content programme bid.

Publication of Proceedings

UoH has already pledged some funding towards this, but we need to check with CCP/UoM/JISC for possible further support. (January 2011)

- This is being coordinated by Toni Sant.

Call for Papers/Presentations

CFP needs to be issued no later than end of January 2011.
