Karma Skies is an acoustic all-girl band from Malta active since 2011.

The band is made up of four singers (Annalise Bellizzi, Odelsie Camilleri, Loredana Grech, Michela Scerri), a guitarist (Sheryl Camilleri) and a pianist (Caroline Caruana).

They always wanted to be on stage and perform individually, Karma Skies seemed like the perfect opportunity for the six of them two years ago, they just had to be a part of St.Aloysius College Soiree 2012 formed in December, which soon led to more live appearances during the year.

Moving on from friendships and getting down to business, they soon realized that did not only have one lead vocalist, but four vocalists with two musicians. After a number of performances, they started working on a cover version of Fun’s ‘Some Nights’ at Blacklights studios and also ended up shooting our first music video with Stephan Zammit from Neuronfx in the midst of their ’A’ levels.

The six continued to bond over the next few months working on various covers and even a couple of originals. The positive feedback they got from their first and only music video, has really encouraged them to pull their socks up and work. After “Some Nights” they also had some gigs and even went to ‘’Clint on One’’ where they gave their rendition to 3 different songs.

This cover landed them more than 15,000 views to date and many opportunities, including an opportunity to work with Kevin Paul Calleja at Railway Studios on another song from Fun, this time ‘ We are young’, which will be coming out soon.

This Summer they decided to put their heads together and somewhere in between their gossip, chatter and food ‘breaks’ happening during their band rehearsals, they managed to come up with their first original song ‘Bittersweet September’. This time they decided to go bigger on their project by working with stylist Kira Drury.

Their debut single, Bittersweet September, was released on 17th.September 2013 along with a promotional video. The song was recorded and produced by Peter Borg at Railway Studios. The music video was directed by Stephan Zammit.

Bittersweet September was featured as the opening track on Toni Sant's 351st Mużika Mod Ieħor podcast on Saturday 28 September 2013, one week after it was made available for download on iTunes.
