Karen Catania was born on 2 January 1980 and comes from the beautiful city of Cospicua, she is married and works as a Chef.
Karen got into music in the year 2004 when she participate in a local festival that the hotel she used to work organised a talent show. Karen took part in other festivals in the past, but for the last 5 years she only sang in wedding masses.
This year 2016 she met with Dominic Cini and he encourage her to make an original maltese song so with the help of her vocal coach Ina Robinich she participate in a local festival the first edition of Tifħira Lill Malta organizer by DBS Productions - Shine Singers Festival, with the song Issa Tard Wisq lyrics by Rita Pace music Dominic Cini and she won the First Place from her Category.
