The process begins with an Assessment of your voice in order that we can diagnose what your ‘Tendency’ is.
One may get in contact with the Academy personnel  and set up an appointment, in which a vocal assessment is done and a plan is made to help the student improve his or her vocal talent. The lesson will consist of a set of vocal exercises, which are given in order to strengthen the breathing, extend the vocal range and sharpen tonality. The session is wrapped up with a song which fits the student, and where all the vocal exercises are put into action.
Following the diagnosis we then are able to prescribe a series of exercises that we know (and have been proven!) will assist the student to iron out their own tendency in the most healthy, safe and long standing way.

Believe it or not we get a lot of nervous people in to our studio! With this in mind we would like to minimise any nervous feelings or perceptions that first-time students might feel before they come visit.
To complement these vocal lessons, the Academy offers theory classes. The Academy firmly believes that having the knowledge of music theory, singers are much more competent. They will be able to read music, understand musical directions and be flexible when singing with a band or an accompanist.

* We do not judge anybody on how ‘good/bad’ they are at singing (EVER!)
Joseph and Ritienne are assisted by a teacher, Ms. [[Alison Saguna]], who is experienced in teaching music, specifically piano, theory and vocal training.
* We do believe that singing is a learned skill and that anybody can learn to sing

* Where you are sitting right now… We were also there before
The aim of the Academy is that while shaping up a vocalist, the lessons must be fun and enthusing.

* Improving your voice is A PROCESS. Here are some common issues we address at the Academy: Sometimes I feel like I’m pushing or straining on my high notes… We’ll show you how to blend your low and high voice together so there’s no need to push up your bottom voice to reach high notes.

Start singing with ease and presence. Sometimes I feel like I’m singing in two voices with a break in the middle… We use vocal exercises that erase the break to give you a connected voice.

Learn to sing so it sounds like one voice from bottom to top. Sometimes my voice feels weak and breathy… We can show you how to sing more like how you speak so your voice is clear and full.

When you can sing any of your notes at a quiet, medium or loud dynamic, you have more musical expressivity. Build your range, smooth out the bumps, and start enjoying your voice more…all by using the unique vocal tools and exercises. Depending on your needs we may also address vibrato, melodic and stylistic flexibility, vocal care and therapy, application to songs and styles.

The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. It is awaiting the attention of an experienced M3P editor, which could be you. It may be slightly out of date, or may need other elements taken care of appropriately, including proofreading or copy-editing for grammar and style.
