Chess Galea
Chess is a Maltese singer.
Chess has always had her heart set on one thing – singing. At the very young age of 2 Chess took up dancing lessons, then at the age of ten she moved on to acting. Dance classes, acting, and later on music, were priorities throughout her childhood and these gave her a solid foundation of the performing arts. She began to train her voice at the age of thirteen even though she had been wanting to sing since she was five. Pop music was a major influence over Chess since it triggered her desire to sing, even though her primary studies in singing consisted in classical material as well as songs for musicals. Later on she finally progressed to SLS lessons to focus more on pop and rnb. Due to her solid background of the arts Chess aims at being all-round performer, incorporating dance, innovative music ideas and singing into her performances. Later this year Chess will be moving to England where she'll be attending the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in order to further strengthen her voice and broaden her knowledge in the musiacl arts. ACM will also allow her to perform regular weekly gigs which will eventually pay-off as experience. At just eighteen, she's ready for whatever the world throws at her and won't be missing an opportunity to get to that point she has, for so long, wished to get to.
