Mro. Archibald Mizzi A. Mus. L.C.M. imwieled fl-4 ta’ Lulju, 1952 u ġej minn Ħal-Qormi. Huwa mużiċist u Direttur Mużikali.

Archibald huwa iben Mro. Chev. Abel Joseph Mizzi. Irċieva l-edukazzjoni tiegħu mas-Sorijiet Agostinjani f’Ħal-Qormi, u fil-Kulleġġ San Mikiel, Ħal Qormi.

Beda l-istudji mużikali tiegħu ma’ missieru fl-Għaqda Mużikali San Ġorg Martri, Ħal Qormi. Fl-età tal-lejl, Archibald ġie introdott bħala bandman mal-istess każin tal-banda.

Kompla l-istudji tal-mużika tiegħu fil-pjanuforte ma’ Bice Bisazza u t-teorija u l-armonija taħt Mro.Carmelo Pace filwaqt li studja Fagotte ma’ Mro. Joseph Sammut.

Kompla l-istudji tiegħu f’Turin mal-Professur Ġiuseppe Delle Valle. Irritorna Malta. Archibald Mizzi ingħaqad mal-Orkestra tat-Teatru Manoel issa magħrufa bħala l-Malta Philamonic Orchestra bħala Fagotte solo. Kompla l-istudji tiegħu ma’ Mro.Carmelo E. Zammit, u fl-1986 kiseb id-diploma A. Mus. L.C.M.

Archibald kien l-ewwel direttur mużikali mas-Soċjeta Mużikali La Stella Levantina A.D. 1984 ta’ Ħ’Attard bejn l-1987-1988.

Kien ukoll direttur mużikali mal-Każin tal-Banda Lourdes ta’ Paola, illum magħrufa Soċjeta Filarmonika Fra Antoine De Paule Banda Kristu Re (1993-2008), u Soċjeta Mużikali Sant' Antnin ta’ Birkirkara, kif ukoll Assistent Direttur Mużikali mas-Società Filarmonica Nazionale La Valette, u l-Każin tal-Banda San Ġorġ, Ħal Qormi u fl-2008 inħatar direttur mużikali tal-istess Għaqda Mużikali San Ġorġ Martri.

Archilbald matul il-karriera tiegħu kkompona diversi bandmarches serveral. Fosthom, wieħed jista’ jsemmi The King, li huwa popolari ħafna kullimkien f’Malta u barra minn hekk f’Scily fejn madwar tletin banda għamlu dan il-marċ. Daqq ukoll l-innu San Ġorġ Martri.

Marċi oħra jikkomponu minn dan is-surmast famuż huma Ġorġi Tagħna, Iacchus, Pablito, Pathetique, Jesus Nazzarenus, Pascalino, El Toro. , Iċ-Ċambu, Tal-Padruna, Viceremos, Il-Qniepen, Imperatur u ħafna aktar.

Ta’ kull sena Archibald Mizzi kkompona marċ bandistiku ġdid għas-Società Filarmonica Nazionale La Valette fl-okkażjoni tal-festa ta’ San Pawl fil-Valletta.

Mro. Archibald Mizzi A. Mus. L.C.M.

Mro. Archibald Mizzi A. Mus. L.C.M. born on 4 July, 1952 and comes from Ħal-Qormi. He is a musician and Musical Director.

Archibald is the son of Mro. Chev. Abel Joseph Mizzi. He received his education with the Augustinian Sisters at Ħal-Qormi, and at St Michael’s College, Qormi.

He commenced his musical studies with his father at Għaqda Mużikali San Ġorg Martri, Qormi. At the age of night, Archibald was introduced as a bandman with the same band club.

He furthered his music studies in pianoforte with Bice Bisazza and theory and harmony under Mro.Carmelo Pace while studied Fagotte with Mro. Joseph Sammut.

He continued his studies in Turin with Professor Ġiuseppe Delle Valle. Retured to Malta. Archibald Mizzi joined the Orchestra of the Manoel Theatre now know as Malta Philamonic Orchestra as Fagotte solo. He continued his studies with Mro.Carmelo E. Zammit, and in 1986 he obtained the diploma A. Mus. L.C.M.

Archibald was the first musical director with the Soċjeta Mużikali La Stella Levantina A.D. 1984 of Ħ'Attard between 1987-1988.

He was also musical director with Lourdes Band Club of Paola, today known Soċjeta Filarmonika Fra Antoine De Paule Banda Kristu Re (1993-2008), and Soċjeta Mużikali Sant' Antnin of Birkirkara, as well as Assistant Musical director with Società Filarmonica Nazionale La Valette, and St George’s Band Club, Qormi and in 2008 appointed musical director of the same Għaqda Mużikali San Ġorġ Martri.

Archilbald during his career composed various serveral bandmarches. Amongst them, one could mention The King, which is very popular everywhere in Malta and besides that at Scily where about thirty band done this march. He also comosed the hymn San Ġorġ Martri. Other marches compose by this famous maestro are Ġorġi Tagħna, Iacchus, Pablito, Pathetique, Jesus Nazzarenus, Pascalino, El Toro, Iċ-Ċambu, Tal-Padruna, Viceremos, The Bells, Emperor and many more.

Every year Archibald Mizzi composed a new band march for the Società Filarmonica Nazionale La Valette on the occasion of the feast of St Paul’s at Valletta.
