Meli was a regular fixture with the cream of Maltese folksingers in the Sixties and Seventies, including Pawlu Seychell l-Għannej, Ninu Galea l-Kalora, Żaren Mifsud Ta' Vestru and Frans Baldacchino il-Budaj.
