Clean-up Needed
The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. It is awaiting the attention of an experienced M3P editor, which could be you. It may be slightly out of date, or may need other elements taken care of appropriately, including proofreading or copy-editing for grammar and style.

Artists were able to submit their entries between 24 June 2022 and 15 August 2022. For the preliminary selection, PBS will nominate a professional jury, which will judge the studio versions of all submissions.
While applicants can submit more than one song, only one submission per lead artist can make the final participant list, unlike the previous edition.
The lyrics of the song may be written and performed in English or Maltese, as the national official languages of Malta. If other languages are used, they have to be limited to a maximum of 40% of the full lyrics.
On 1st September, 2022 Public Broadcasting Services Ltd. has announced the 16 finalists who will be competing in the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest being broadcast on TVM on 2 October, 2022
