The Incorvaja Sisters

The Incorvaja Sisters, originally begin as a duo, The Incorvaja Twins (Josephine and May – Twin sisters born on 1st May 1960. Their younger sister Connie, born on 9th February 1970, joined them from the tender age of 10 years. Today all three girls are all happily married and living at Mellieħa.

Over the years they gained invaluable experience by performing at virtually all the top local entertainment nightspots whilst also spreading their wings to other countries namely Sicily, Canada, U.S.A and Australia, where they always delighted Maltese emigrants and foreigners alike with their incomparable harmonious rendition of their songs.

In 1980 Connie joined her sisters in a singing tour to Canada and from this point onwards The Incorvaja Twins became known as The Incorvaja Sisters. Before joining her sisters, Connie took part in many song festivals, namely the Golden Cross Festival and formed part of a singing troupe called Sweet Lollipops. During a particular year Connie Micallef took part as a soloist in the L-Għanja tal-Poplu song festival competing with, amongst others, her sisters!

They have often been invited to pariticipate in radio and TV Programmes both locally and abroad and are also regularly engaged to sing at wedding masses where their harmonious songs have been quoted to sound like angles from heaven.

Perhaps the reason for the girls’ relaxed and professional performances is that singing is their favourite hobby and their natural aptitude they have to pick-up harmonies. They always ensure that their audience enjoys their singing as much as they enjoy singing for them. This year is the sixth consecutive year that The Incorvaja Sisters will be participating in the festival L-Għanja tal-Poplu.
