Talk:Xmun Chetcuti

I'm not sure whether the name selected for this page is appropriate. Sam Chetcuti is known as Xmun. So the page should either be named Sam Chetcuti or Xmun Chetcuti, with appropriate redirects and/or disambiguation. The essential thing is not to have the name Xmun in brackets as the actual name for this page/entry. I can fix this, but I'd like some input from Viv or Marls about this before proceeding. --Toni Sant (talk) 11:01, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

I agree Toni - I reckon his original name was Xmun, having been born in Malta. Then changed it to Sam upon his arrival in QLD. So, in my opinion, I'd have it as Xmun Chetcuti - and mention that in QLD he was known as Sam Chetcuti - in the script. --MarleneG (talk) 00:34, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

So, here's what I suggest we do, which I'll do right away:

1. Move contents of Sam (Xmun) Chetcuti to a new page called Xmun Chetcuti <<-- to enable deletion of original page with odd name
2. Create page called Sam Chetcuti with redirect to Xmun Chetcuti <<-- to ensure that searches for Sam Chetcuti lead to the right place
3. Delete Sam (Xmun) Chetcuti <<-- to remove the oddly named page altogether

These 3 steps ensure that the original work done on this page is not lost. All that remains now is for you to adjust the script/text to reflect the name change from Xmun to Sam on his arrival in QLD. How's that? --Toni Sant (talk) 14:05, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
