Pearl Marie Saliba

Pearl Marie Saliba was born on 13 April 2002, residing with her family in Ħad-Attard, Malta.

Currently she is a full-time student in her first year of 6th form, where her main focus and attention is given to Performing Arts with the intention of pursuing her studies at the University of Malta’s School of Performing Arts - Bachelor in Performing Arts (Hons).

Pearl Marie Saliba has also been studying singing at a Professional level since 2012, attending one-on-one vocal lessons under the guidance of Tiziana Calleja. She has always shown a love and passion towards singing, drama, acting and dance since she was a toddler.

Over the years she has studied hard to achieve a higher standard for herself and as a result has sat for various Musical Theatre – Trinity College London exams where she achieved very good results during her journey. She succeeded with her 6th Grade exam and is now preparing to sit for her 8th Grade exam in Musical Theatre.

Apart from Musical Theatre, Pearl has also achieved good results in Piano with the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) at Grade 5 and also in Ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance in London.

Although Pearl is quite new to the Musical Industry, she has taken part in various singing and drama shows during school activities and also other events produced by Once Upon a Time, the Royal Academy of Dance, Helen O’Grady and Centre Stage. She also performed in various village feast programs, choirs, Notte Bianca and Marathons/Charities for good causes. She was also a participant in the Malta Children’s Choir headed and directed by Tiziana Calleja.

Pearl has as well participated in festivals namely La Voce Singing Challenge and the Malta International Singers Festival Euro Stars organized and directed by Martin and Catherine Degarbriele were she gave a brilliant interpretation and performance showing her potential. She also won the Best New Singer award. Recently she took part in the Singing Challenge 2018 – The Entertainment produced by [[Spiteri Lucas Entertainment[[ and was personally invited to sing and perform on a local TV Programme called Akila, a reality show by models namely the Misraħ il-Milied fashion show 2018.

In 2017 Pearl was given the opportunity of a life time to attend and perform at the Disney Performing Arts on Stage at Disneyland Paris. This was followed by a workshop in the West End of London with the Dance Works Studios, where she gained massive experience by working with well-known Professional Tutors as well as some of the Cast of The Lion King, Wicked, Matilda and Les Miserables.

In September 2019, Pearl will be joining other International school disciplines to take part in a show at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London.

Pearl would like to pursue her studies in the Performing Arts abroad, longing and wishing that it will help her accomplish her Dream of becoming an Actor.
