Noel Scerri, He was Born in Canada on 3 October, 1982. And grow up at Ħamrun. He is the Keyboardist player of the band Cushion.
Currently keyboardist playing with the Indian Fusion Band Cushion. His influences comes from both the classical era such as Kuhlau, Beethoven and Mozart, and also from the modern era such as Queen, Elton John, Jean Michel Jarre and Ludovico Einaudi. He studied piano, music theory and computing science, which later initiated an interest in digital music. From when he was 14, he started experimenting with synthesizers, MIDI controllers and digital audio workstations. In 1996 he formed a youth choir in St. Francis Church, Hamrun. In 2004, Noel decided to leave the choir in order to venture for new opportunities. In the same year, Noel joined A Day Too Late (which is former award winning band Blade). During this period, Noel gained a lot of experience in music composition, sound generation and live performances.
In 2010 Noel graduated in BSc in Creative Computing (Hons), held by Goldsmiths University of London, which strengthened the technical knowledge of digital music. In the same year Noel decided to join forces with Anthony Curmi and created the side project, Cushion. In 2011, Noel decided to leave A Day Too Late in order to focus more on the Cushion project. This project provided several new opportunities, including performances in major Maltese festivals and also abroad. Currently Noel is writing and recording new songs with the rest of the band Cushion.
