Natalie Mercieca nee’ Attard born on 8 December, 1966 at Sliema, and true the years she moved with her family to il-Gżira and San Ġwann. She is a Freelance Producer Radio/Television.

After finished her school and study. She taken a corresponding course taken a few years before starting this career helped,The Writing Course helped her with script writing and organization. It was an intensive course which cover the all aspects of writing and reading and she passed from it in flying coloures.

This course was organised by Alfie Fabri - who was the one that introdused her to tv as well as a Producer/ Presenter, other jobs ass Director, floor manager and coordinater.

Her tutor assessment was Mr John O ‘Toole a professional writer a member of the society of authors and of the writers guide of Great Britain with a list of over 150 articles published , 60 short stories and he notched up a good many credits for radio and TV some of which are listed in the British film and TV year book he even worked as a staff writer and adaptor for BBC and was also a story consultant for Granada TV) Radio - Started this career after participating the one and only radio contest organized by Radio Malta. Hundreds applied.

After weeks of intensive training with different producers and DJ. (this was very hard work as she had no prior experience).

Natalie finally won this contest apart from the chance to Visit BBC Radio and TV she was offered my first Radio Program. This was way back at 1993. The list of Programs presented and produced is endless.

Morning Programs, Night programs, daily midmorning programs, and weekend programs. she even had some specialized programs relating the music history, discussion programmes etc.

She had plenty of ‘one off’ programmes entrusted to me as well being given the chance to stand in because of different circumstances. Television - this too is not a new area for me, apart from the fact that I have a sound back round in music I was offered a Regular TV programme to present called Ġen with Alfie Fabri , Lejliet l-Oscars, Vajb, Eurovision Previews (Euro Showbox), L-Għanja tal-Poplu, Karoke just to mention a few . At the same time I produced and presented my own Programmes such as Lenti Żgħażugħa, and Radio Vision.

The station entrusted her and with Martin Mercieca (after some years they where married too in 1998) get in, to organise produce and run the one and only TV song festival Kliem u Mużika Not to mention a talent program aired for a number of weeks ‘Sardinella’ which to proved to be a huge success.

Her knowledge and experience was an excellent factor for being chosen as a Judge during various Eurovision’s both as a local Judge to choose the winning song as well as a foreign judge – too choose the Eurovision song of the year. For many years she have been trusted as the Assistant Director during the Malta Eurovision and the Junior Eurosong contest.

Nathalie made a nice point that all of this above happend by help of people such as Albert Zammit, Mario Laus, John Muscat, Joe Vella, Tony Micallef and Manuel Cassar anong others. And in her careree she works always for PBS.
