Martina Mai Seychell

Martina Mai Seychell born on 27 April, 2000 in il-Fgura. She is an Actress.

She currently finished secondary school and will soon start sixth- form. Ever since form 1, Martina and her friend would entertain the class by acting out a small sketch. Many students encouraged her to start taking drama lessons to continue developing her talent but Martina wasn’t interested. It was only four years later in 2014 that her mother signed her up for a drama course as she also saw her talent in drama but needed some work to develop it especially due to her shyness. It was only a few months after the course started that she got really interested in drama.

From 2014 till know she was taking her course at Mixta Drama, leaded by Clayton Pace.

Her first ever part was as an extra in Ħbieb u Għedewwa as a waiter on television.

She also took part in plays held on stages such as plays held by mixta drama and she will soon be taking part in a play called Wenzu u Rozi with the part of Rozi.

As she already said, she took part as an extra on Ħbieb u Għedewwa and she currently taking part in a series on one tv called Andrew and Sue which Martina interpret the character of Mandy, their eldest daughter.

Martina both enjoy drama on stage and drama on television, she likes them very much. On stage takes a lot more work to perfect it to the very full and at the same time you get to know the other characters and have a good laugh or two and you get to witness people’s emotions as they are lost in the play.

On the other hand, working on tv, for the actors is less of work and you get to form a special bond between the cast and crew, more so if the series or film lasts much longer than the preparations of the pLay.

Till now she never get the experance work on radio, and took only part in quizzes.

She played as an extra in a film produced by the MCAST students.

She play the character of Mandy in the series Andrew and Sue. Where she was the eldest of 3 siblings and the most troublesome of them all.

She will never forget the episode on Andrew and Sue were a baby was left on our porch and Mandy fell in love with it the most. The problem was that she have a phobia of dolls and Martina had to spend about 2 hours holding this doll. To say that she was traumatized while doing the scenes is an understatement.

She love working with all the cast of “Andrew and Sue” because the get to learn something from all of them. She also wish to work with actors and actresses already well known in Malta ta further increase my experience and knowledge from them.

She wish to continue learning and taking part in many productions were she can meet new people and live the different lives of the characters she given.

That she will continue her career away in foreign productions and maybe even take this career permanently.

In 2015 Martina Mai took part in a play called Jesus Christ Superstar were she both danced and acted. In the same year she also took part in a play called Mulan where she was a dancer. In 2016 she also took part in a play called Niġi Warajk a play held in a church. All these plays where held by the 14th productions. In the summer of 2015 she presented the chicken festival in is-Siġġiewi.
