Marco A. Calleja was born on 24 October, 1986. At Ħaż-Żabbar. He is is a director, producer, educator, TV host and performer.

In Malta, he has worked with various companies on several plays, pantomimes, musicals and ballets. He also set up his theatre company, Hoi Polloi Theatre Productions in 2004. He then branched out into performing arts education for children and teens by setting up the Hoi Polloi Academy in 2013.

Marco moved to London in 2016 to read for an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and graduated in 2017.
