Kelly Cassar was born on 8 April, 1994 from Santa Luċija, Kerċem Gozo. She is a Singer.
Kelly began to distinguish herself as a singer at an early age, showing great music talent. By the time Kelly was sixteen years old, she participated in several festivals both locally and abroad. After realising that singing was her main priority, she started showcasing her talent in various venues across Malta and Gozo participating in numerous festivals, mainly placing first.
One experience which was fruitful for her singing career was when she did a performance in a festival held in Macedonia, placing second in voice. Kelly also competed in several local TV programmes, such as Sas-Sitta and ID in which she performed with a live band. Other performances on local popular TV programmes include Kilo Challenge and BBQ. Kelly also particpated at the Golden Cross Festival held in Gozo and won for the Best Original Song.
In 2010, she submitted an original song for the popular local Festival called Indifest Contest Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza and made it to the semi-final. Now she started singing in weddings which is quite satisfying for her musical carrier.
Being so fond about the beauty of Gozo, Kelly also made some music videos with cover version songs, capturing some of the iconic places in Gozo including The Azure Window at Dwejra. This is a great way to show case her talents as well as promoting the beauty of Gozo.
At the moment Kelly and a group of friends formed a band with the name Light with the idea of singing worship songs mainly from the group Hill Songs. This style of music brings a lot of satisfaction in both her spiritual life, as well as her musical carrier.
As a person, Kelly is energetic, very optimistic and has good ambition to strengthen her talent. Now she maintains a busier life than ever, balancing her roles as a University student, recording artist and all around entertainer.
