Claire Caruana Carsons
Claire Caruana Carsons born in Ħ' Attard on the 27 April 1991. Today she lives at l-Iklin, She is a Maltese singer and performer. She is best known for her powerhouse, soulful, jazzy voice. She surely is a very versatile singer, and was known as the lady with the black voice.
She is an outstanding artist with a strong voice, natural energetic presence, carrying self-confident abilities. As an artist she portrays a lot of energy during her performances. She started showing interest in music at a very tender age, infact at the age of twelve, she started playing the acoustic and electric guitar.
Claire started her singing career at the age of thirteen, as she always used to sing and participate in the music ministry events at school. In her free time she loves to listen to music and write songs when ever she gets inspired mostly through life's experiences. Claire's vocals are quite deep with a mixture of Bluesy, Jazzy, Soul, Funk and Gospel influences. Claire had always been very musical. At the age of fourteen, she took up theatre and arts lessons, where she practised the three disciplines, which consisted of singing, dancing and even drama which she loves a lot and works hard and professionally. She has also participated in many local festivals where she always placed from 1st to 4th place in various festivals, she was regognized clearly to be a very promising singer in the future, as a matter of fact she even won 'The Best Promising Singer' award in February 2007.
She has also participated in the celebration of the '50th Anniversary Of The Treaty Of Rome' which was held on the 23rd to 25th March 2007 at Nadur, Gozo together with international artists. She also participated in the Malta International TV Song Festival where she made her first debut with the song 'Labirint' lyrics by Alexia Schembri and composed by Chan Vella.
In 2008, Claire launched her first debut studio album The Cool One by Claire Caruana Carsons, consisting of 22 beautiful songs in English. In 2010, Claire took part in the popular television festival Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza where she sung the song Kulħadd L-istess lyrics by Stephen Baldacchino and composed by Dominic Cini.
On 11 June, 2016 Claire released her self-titled second studio album The Golden Touch consisting of 21 beautiful songs with original songs in Maltese and English which are Eurovision material and even cover versions in English on the popoluar television programm view on Net TV The Entertainers Singing Challenge.
Along the way, Claire had various television appearances on many programmes on local stations as an artist, singing and performing and her songs are even played on local radio stations by top local DJ's in Malta. Claire's ambition is to continue working hard and professionally on her singing career, with the aim that maybe in the fourth coming future, she will represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest.
