Cationa Brincat

Catriona Brincat was born on 28 December, 1995 and comes from Birżebbuġa. She is a Singer.

Working within a local Bank, she studied for her degree in Financial Services Management at MCAST.

Her music career started at the age of 5 where she joined the local parish church choir. She then formed part of the Primary and Secondary School Choir where she also took part in musicals set up by the school. She took part in musicals organised by the local parish church and ŻAK Birżebbuġa up till the age of 18.

She started taking vocal lessons at the age of 12, whilst also taking vocal examinations. During this time, she also formed part of a wedding mass singing choir called El Shaddai for 4 years.

Over the last two years, Catriona performed at ‘Strummin’ at Sir Temi Zammit Hall at the University of Malta as a backing vocalist and another were, she played the guitar.

Catriona’s first ever appearance in L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2020 – Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija, will be during this year’s edition, where she will be singing alongside Mario Debono (composer and songwriter of the song) with the song Il-Fqir.
