Andrew Vella, born on 5 March, 1991 comes from Kerċem, Gozo. From a young age, Andrew always expressed interest in music. At the age of 7 he started to learn music with the local band club.

While in secondary school, Andrew borrowed an acoustic guitar form his uncle and stared to learn how to play it. He soon realised that his true passion was song writing.

He started to write songs at the age of 14. After being involved in several bands, Andrew had the opportunity to join The Travellers in 2013 as a guitarist, backing vocalist and leading songwriter.

With the band, he wrote hit tracks like Sempliċita, Xemx u Xita, Ħafi Paċi Kuluri and Tpenġijiet.

In 2018 Andrew is participating for the first time as a writer in L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2018 with a song called l-Immigrant who he co-wrote with Alan Casha.
