So, I’m a maltese heavy rock’n roller based in Germany……weird you would think? Not really, if you knew how much artistic talent originates from that little Mediterranean rock (excuse the pun….). So many years, so many stories, so many bands, so many songs. Memories, oh what memories…opening up for the likes of Iron Maiden, playing in festivals with big names like Meatloaf and Marillion on the bill, all the fun, all the partying but a lot of hard work. Life on the road ain’t easy…..

And after all this time, you get to a point where you ask yourself….why am I still doing this? Years ago, I wanted to be a star, a dream shared by a few million other blue-eyed young guys with overblown hormones busting their pants. And after all the parties, the let-downs, the booze and what not, what else is there?? The one thing that really matters: MUSIC! The food of my soul, the air that I breathe, those wonderful moments when you’ve just finished writing/ recording something which people actually like. I sometimes find myself asking: does the world really need my music? Well, the answer is simple: I don’t care, because I need it. Because it makes me happy, because it gives me a sense of freedom, because when all the blue-eyed dreams of stardom have faded, it’s like chains have been cut and you start making real music. Do I care whether a 1000 people listen to my songs or just 10? No, I don’t, because for me, it goes way beyond fame and fortune. I view the fact that there are people who like what I do as a bonus which I am thankful for. But nothing can replace the surge of happiness I feel when I grab a guitar or stand in front of a mic, even by myself in a studio. Nothing reflects my feelings like my music does. And that is the real deal.

My new album Angels Fall is one I’m particularly proud of and has consisted of hard but satisfying work. It gives me the feeling I’m finally creatively “getting somewhere”. A big thank you goes to all the good friends who have helped and inspired me in completing this effort, amazing guitar players like Chris Frehse from Hanover, Germany, Dave Whiting from Lincoln, USA, lyrical collabs with Ray Cochrane of Wollongong, Australia. The album contains 11 tracks recorded between 2009 – 2010 which were mastered by Jan Ohlhorst at Finemastering.de. Release: January 2011.
