Hot Shots

The Templars was a musicial group from Malta formed in 1961 as Hot Shots.

At first, the band consisted of three guitarist and a drummer.

The original line-up was Arthur Desira, Twanny Desira, Lino Desira, and Wilfred Buttigieg.

They played hits by the The Shadows, The Ventures, The Spotniks, The Shantays and others such guitar groups popular in that era.

In 1965, Hot Shots changed their name to The Templars.

For some time they accompanied the singer Joe Grech, mostly the Rocky Vale in St Julians. By then the line-up consisted of Dennis Buhagiar on rhythm guitar, Joe Buhagiar on bass guitar, Arthur Desira on second guitar, Wilfrid Buttigieg on lead guitar, Lino Desira on drums.
