Galea attended St Aloysius College. He then enrolled in Ġ.F. Abela Junior College, before completing his education at the University of Malta, where he graduated with a BA (Hons.) in Maltese.

Galea is a former soccer player. When he was a kid, his father registered him at Pietà Hotspurs Football Club. Later on, he played for Msida Saint Joseph F.C. but after having a series of knee injuries, eventually he decided to become a professional actor.

Afterwards, Galea made several guest appearances on various shows, such as the soap opera ''Ħbieb u Għedewwa'', the sitcom ''Inkwilini'', the drama ''Libra'' and the series ''Ta' Taħt Fuq''.
He began to act when he was 14. At first, he started working as an extra in the series ''Déjà Vu'', ''Iċ-Ċaqqufa'', ''Simpatiċi'', ''Grammi'' and ''Il-Patt''. Then, Galea was given some speaking roles in various shows, like the soap opera ''Ħbieb u Għedewwa'', the sitcom ''Inkwilini'', the drama ''Libra'' and the series ''Ta' Taħt Fuq''.




He attracted wider recognition for his supporting role in the sitcom ''It's Morris'', where he played William, Bethany's love interest. Then, he took the role of Alex in the drama ''Manwela''. His portrayal of Bjorn in the series ''Vigilante'' proved that Galea is a versatile actor. He has also played Mr. Bonello, the lead character in the short film ''Ċans tad-Deheb''. Lately, he was cast as Adam, and Shakespeare's Romeo in the feature film ''Klassi Għalina and the History of the World''.
