It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. Sandra Davis

Sandra Davis was born at Guardamanġia on 20 Dicember, 1959. She’s an Actress.

She begin on television when her school PE teacher Mrs. Doris Causons had packed her and two others students to demonstrate some exercises in a keep fit slot, that she got in a magazine program.

Someone at the tv station thought, that Sandra was a very photogenic, and asked her, to film her for the start of a tv program called Werqa. (leave). The idea was to show that a woman can be free in any way she chooses in her life eg. As a housewife, a nun, a sports personality, etc. The title track was Una Paloma Blanca by Jonathan King in 1975 and after another good version by George Baker Selection.

After above that started, she being offered parts in one-off plays which used to be shown on tv at the time. The first one was Salib Ħaddieħor by Ġuże Diacono. We also used to do a lot of radio plays at the time on Cable Radio or Radju Malta.

Jodie Foster in that era was a famous Actress for the film Taxi Driver was Sandra favourite famale actor and she was her idole model in acting.

Sandra act on the three medium of drama, radio, stage and TV, radio were initially one-off plays as Maltese teleseriels had not yet started. In theatre she took part in comedies like Dik L-imbierka Kunjata and serious drama like Il-Ġuri Tagħkom, among others written by Lino Grech and after some years it was published as a photo Story (storja ritratt) by Malta Talent Artist managed by Joe Zammit Cordina in the serie Pepprin.

About the difference, in stage, radio and television Sandra stays this Stage productions involve a lot of rehearsals and interaction with the audience – also requires the ability to ad lib and think on your feet if something goes wrong! TV and radio require the abilty to be more “natural” as the audience are seeing you close up in their own homes.

Sandra begain with a hit telesieriel by Lino Grech called F’Baħar Wieħed in the part of Dora the daughter of Magristrat, it was a big honour to be given a part in this first ever Maltese teleseriel written by one of Malta’s finest authors Lino Grech. Very enjoyable to film and was very popular with the public, besides the popolarity of that teleserial with the caractor of Ġoma played by Gemma Portelli, Every Monday at 8.30pm this street of Malta where empty, even the Parlament would finished early.

Sandra got many parts in her career, but her most memorable part is the role of a convicted nun in the cinematic production of Santa Monica. In the begain she was a bit nervous of the public reaction as she played the role of a child abuser, but did not have any problems in actual fact.

It involved a couple of stunts which we did ourselves, adding a very exciting element, like when one of the inmates tried to throw her off the top of the stairs. F’Baħar Wieħed also remains close to her heart as it was the forst Maltese teleseriel.

Apart from Santa Monika the Movie, she was also in Anġli the Movie and L-iskorpjun, the latter being my own production.

Sandra was intended to stay in the Uk for a couple of years and ended upstaying for 23! In the beginning, she tried to get an equity card – you cannot work in this field without one in the UK – but she was unable to obtain one as she had no contracts to show what work I’d done here – we never worked with contracts here.

As a big Cinema production shot in Malta Sandra was involded in the famous films Midnight Express. Besides this she worked and took part in some Tv adverts
