Mona Nicholas-Vella was a Secondary School teacher in San Francisco, California, USA and is a Maltese community worker.

Mona was born in Malta and migrated with her family to San Francisco, California at age 5. She undertook her education in the USA and holds a B.A. degree in French and an M.A. in Secondary Education. 
For 38 years she was a Secondary School teacher.

Community Involvement

Mona is a member of the Maltese-American Social Club of San Francisco and serves as the Club’s head librarian. She is the President of the Maltese Historical Society. She is also associated with the Maltese Cross Foundation of California. In 2010, she represented these two organizations at the Convention of Maltese Living Abroad in Malta.
