The Festival

The 33rd edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu was held on Saturday 29 November 2008 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Phoenicia in Floriana.

Tickets at the price of €10 were on sale at the YTC offices at 227 Merchants’ Street in Valletta.

Special Guests

During the interval, the audience was entertained by Salvu Tanti and friends with Maltese traditional Guitar Music (tal-prejjem). Maltese band New Courey was honoured for their continuous contribution in the local music scene. Late vocalist Sammy Bartolo's daughters sang the band's tunes accompanied live by New Courey.
