James Pawney Jimmy Il-Bormliż
is an improvised verse folk singer. As the nickname suggests, he originates from Bormla, although his father was Scottish.
His sons Etienne Pawney In-Naxxari and James Pawney Jimmy iż-Żgħir also folksing, making them a unique trio in Maltese għana.
Pawney has taken part in several Għanafest programmes and is active on the current folk scene.
