James Pawney Jimmy iż-Żgħir

James Pawney Jimmy iż-Żgħir.

is an improvised verse folksinger. Born in Bormla on the 6th June 1977, his parents moved to Naxxar when he was aged seven. Pawney has stopped folk singing for a number of years.

However, as the adage goes, a folk singer's career can span a lifetime and once you're doused in it, the cast is set. He returned to the fold on the 30th August 2013, on the occasion of his father's birthday, where he folk sang in an improvised bout with Joe Vella l-Bokser at the Klabb tal-Boċċi San Ġorġ in Qormi.
