Heartbeat was founded way back in 2004 a group of youths felt they could pass a message of hope to other youths through their music. Thus, the group Heartbeat was formed with the intention to convey the message that God is present in youths’ everyday life and that He is there with every beat of their heart. Hence the name of the group.

Their presence was immediately acclaimed at the Youth Mass celebrated at St. Gregory’s church [Żejtun]]. Indeed, every Sunday evening at 19:15, the church; one of the oldest in Malta; is filled up with over 400 youths celebrating mass organized by youths for youths.

In 2007, the band Heartbeat debuted with the release of their first original song Someway Someday on myspace.com. The song was very well received and was commended for the “impressive vocal combination of Dorianne, Bernard and Allen” by music critic Toni Sant.

In April 2010 HeartBeat were also invited to perform in front of Pope Benedict XVI and the crowd at the Valletta Waterfront during his visit in Malta. Currently, HeartBeat are working on their debut album which should be launched by the end of 2010.
